8 Houses Burnt at Bulog Complex

Today at 11:00 AM., a massive fire burned eight houses at Bulog Housing Complex, Jalan Haji Ten, RT 06/06, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Thursday (4/23). A man named Ujang (40) was injured pretty badly while trying to put out fire that suspected came from short circuit of Air Conditioner (AC).

We suspect the fire originated from short circuit of Blower AC. Moreover, we need a hour to put out fire using 19 fire trucks

A burning house owner, Desy (35) explained the fire suddenly broke out with several explosion sounds in one of the neighbor's house and spread to other houses. "I was watching TV at that time, I shocked to hear the people shouting fire, and I quickly go out and see the fire has been enlarged and burn the roof of my house. I did not recover any items because all burned down," told Desy.

Operational Section Head of East Jakarta Fire Managing and Rescuing Sub-Department, Moelyanto uttered, a total of 19 fire trucks were deployed to put out the fire. "We suspect the fire originated from short circuit of Blower AC. Moreover, we need a hour to put out fire using 19 fire trucks," explained Moelyanto

Fire in Grogol Killed Three People

The officers were difficult to put out fire because blocked by residents' vehicles and strong wind gusts.

Meanwhile, Pulogadung Sub-District Head, Ahmad Haryadi uttered, his side will prepare refugee's tent around the location to facilitate 15 householders (KK) or 80 residents who affected by the fire. "We have coordinated with Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and East Jakarta Social Sub-Department to help the fire victim," told Ahmad Haryadi.
