Sheet Pile Repair on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur Completed

Personnel of Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resource Taskforce, Central Jakarta, have completed the sheet pile repair of water channel on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, RT 05/07, Kebon Kacang Urban Village, Monday (6/10).

Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari, the sheet pile repair along 15 meter was conducted by seven taskforce personnel since Friday (6/7) ago.

Eli added that the work carried out included repairing the sheet pile construction with river stone and covering it with cast concrete. Then, her party also built five control tanks along the repaired section of the channel.

"Now personnel are finishing the small part of the repair," she said.

Eli stated that the sheet pile repair on the channel, which is around 100 centimeters wide and 120 centimeters high, is following up on reports from the public.

"If it is not repaired immediately, the damage will spread and could trigger a collapse. Not only blocks the flow, the collapsed sheet pile has the potential to impact the surrounding roads," Eli stated.

Rahmat, one of residents of RW 07, Kebon Kacang Urban Village, admitted the broken sheet pile should be repaired to avoid collapse during heavy rain.

"It will disturb the water channel if the sheet pile collapsed and impacted the residential," he admitted.
