During the visit, Acting Governor Heru ensured aspects of residents' welfare by ensuring environmental safety from the risk of flooding and comfortable housing.

"To review the physical aspects, we together with the Assistant for Development and Environment, the Mayor and staff reviewed the process of dredging the Semongol River with the existing alignment conditions, and later the sheet pile process (retaining wall to strengthen construction) will be continued. The hope is that flooding can be reduced," Heru said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.

Acting Governor Heru also distributed a thousand basic food packages to residents, each consisting of five kilograms of rice, one liter of cooking oil and 10 packs of instant noodles. The basic food supplies are a synergy with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation.

Then we walked approximately 500 meters to the location of the mosque and the Nurul Islam Education Foundation (RW 01). This mosque and school also received rehabilitation assistance from cross-stakeholder synergy," Heru continued.

Meanwhile, one of the owners of the renovated house, Qomariah (49), is very grateful and expressed his thanks to the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation. The assistance provided is his dream of having a decent home.

"Thank God, the attention of the Jakarta Provincial Government has been felt by us in Kamal Muara. We get easy basic necessities, and we also get help with house renovations. Once again, thank you to Heru and Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation," she admitted.
