Jakarta's 497 Anniversary: Heru Tightens City Development Sinergy

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono together with Jakarta Regional Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono, and other officials attended Jaya Raya Night as the peak of Jakarta's 497 Anniversary celebration. The event was held at Monas, Central Jakarta on Saturday (6/22).

Heru said that the event was a reminder that as it ages, Jakarta is expected to become a city that continues to progress and develop in a better direction.

"Happy birthday Jakarta. To all residents who attended tonight, enjoy the entertainment with your family. Maintain cleanliness and order during the event. We pray together, so that this city continues to be a comfortable, safe and progressive place," Heru said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.

15,000 Runners Enliven JAKIM 2024

There were various exciting events that residents can enjoy, starting from entertainment stages enlivened with various famous musicians, the Jakarnaval parade, as well as video mapping at Monas.

Heru also visited the night market entertainment and riding the oplet car with the Si Doel Family such as Munaroh, Ipeh, and Mastur to entertain residents in the main stage area.

"We will continue to strive to provide the best service for residents in Jakarta. Hopefully, in its 497th year, Jakarta will still be a city that its citizens are proud of and loved by, and will always be in our hearts," Heru added.

On that occasion, Acting Governor Heru also gave awards to the winners of the Jakarta Citizens' Sports Week (PORWAJA) from each of the futsal and badminton sports, as well as three winners of the 'Cerita Bakti Jakarta' photography competition.
