Jagakarsa Sub-district Head, Santoso, said the festival was held in order to welcome Jakarta after it is no longer the nation's capital as well as welcoming Jakarta as a Global City.
"We held the festival for two days, Sunday (7/30) and today. The activities included a number of events such as parades, pencak silat, Betawi dance competitions, coloring competitions, and singing competitions for ASN and PJLP which were attended by a total of more than 500 participants," he said.

Moreover, the DKJ Festival also involved assisted MSMEs and resident MSMEs with a total of 56 booths. The hope is that this festival will also be able to increase MSMEs's economic.
One of the visitors, Dea (29), admitted the festival was great. Especially its location in the sub-district office illustrates that the sub-district office is not only to provide administrative services to the community, but can also be a place for residents to gather through creativity.
"Hopefully entertainment activities for residents will continue to be held regularly," she hoped.
