4,125 Sidewalks in South Jakarta Repaired

The South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency has noted that as many as 4,125 damaged sidewalks in South Jakarta have been repaired from January to June 2024.
Those sidewalks are located in ten sub-districts
Road and Bridge Section Head, Agus Indroyono said the repair of sidewalks was conducted to improve pedestrian comfort and safety and improve the aesthetics of the area.
"Those sidewalks are located in ten sub-districts, both on protocol and neighborhood roads," he expressed, Friday (7/5).
Sidewalk Construction on Jalan RS Fatmawati Raya CompletedHe explained the sidewalk repairs totaled 12,056 square meters which included the installation of paving, kanstine, storm drain, and sheet pile.
"We also repaired manhole covers at 289 spots and built concretes at 93 spots," he explained.
According to him, one of the work sites was namely, Jalan Dharmawangsa I, Pulo Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, 100 meters long, progress has now reached 50 percent.
"The work involves the SDA Sub-agency to repair channels, wherr the progress has touched 80 percent," he explained.
As the initial stage, the revitalization of pedestrian lanes entering the South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency was budgeted at around Rp 7.5 billion.
"Hopefully, it can create a sense of comfort for pedestrians and beautify the area," he stated.
