There were 1,669 trees pruned in January, 1,633 trees in February, 1,581 trees in March, 1,681 trees in April, 1,935 trees in May, and 2,021 trees in June.
"Mostly trees were pruned in June since extreme weather should occur after this period," she added.
Elly continued that pruning is also an important step to control the irregular growth process of a tree and keep its shape and size under control. Including maintaining a balance between urban development and nature conservation.
"Hopefully this pruning will give safety and comfort for residents in any of weather condition," she continued.
Her party has provided a compensation service post for residents who were victims of falling trees. This also includes vehicles or houses belonging to residents affected by fallen trees.
The amount of compensation for victims of fallen trees who die is Rp 25 million. Meanwhile, for buildings and movable objects is Rp 50 million.
"Submitting a claim for compensation for fallen trees has a number of terms and conditions. For example, the location of the incident is in a public place and the trees belong to the Jakarta Provincial Government," she explained.
