Petogogan Residents Take Part in Disaster Training

Some 60 residents living in Petogogan Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, South Jakarta, participated in disaster training at the local village office.
We want them (participants) to care for themselves and help others when a disaster occurs
Petogongan Urban Village Head, Nina Permata said today's disaster training aims to build public awareness in anticipating and reducing disaster risks in the surrounding environment.
"This is important, as our area is densely populated, prone to flooding, and fires. Most participants are environmental administrators and Karang Taruna youth organization," she expressed, at Petogongan Urban Village Office, Jalan Wijaya Timur Raya, RT 02/02, Monday (7/15).

Then Jakarta BPBD shared early disaster handling and Gulkarmat Sub-agency shared early fire handling.
"We want them (participants) to care for themselves and help others when a disaster occurs," she explained.
The training received appreciation from Petogongan Urban Village FKDM Chairwoman, Setiorini.
"We know how to handle disasters early and as effectively as possible. We ask that if possible, training is also held in each RW," she admitted.
