"We fully support this activity, so that in the future Indonesian Red Cross programs related to disasters, blood donation and others will not only target high school level, but also universities," he said, Tuesday (7/16).
Khabib hopes that all universities in Region III can collaborate with PMI so that it is not just about socializing the implementation, but Red Cross activities can be directly implemented among educational units or students.
Meanwhile, South Jakarta PMI Chief, Abdul Haris, said it is hoped that there will be a follow-up Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between South Jakarta PMI and universities regarding the development of the PMI Voluntary Corps (KSR).
"We want all the humanitarian programs at PMI, such as blood donation, red flags and fundraising months, to run well. Until today, of the 64 private universities in region III, South Jakarta, 12 universities have joined KSR PMI.
Haris added, it is also hoped that concern will arise for fellow humans, especially related to disaster matters and the provision of safe and sufficient blood for the residents of Jakarta.
