No Street Lights, Jalan Kali Mookevart Prone to Crime Action

As crime anticipation, local citizens living around Jalan Inspeksi Kali Mookevart, RW 02, Semanan Urban Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta, requesting street lights installation to related unit.

“Street lights here is very lacking, causing inspection road goes dark. We worry it would trigger crime action,” complained Jumadi, a local citizen of RT 05/02, Semanan Urban Village, Wednesday (4/29).

Many Street Lights in South jakarta Hindered

Jumadi expressed post-road operational since six months ago, locals have repeatedly requested the street lights installation, but until now it has not been realized.

Kalideres Sub-District Head, Yunus Burhan admitted his side received a report from locals and public figures regarding street light installation.

“Indeed, there is no criminal report so far. But if the street lights is not installed, it will trigger crime action,” he said.

Burhan mentions there will be coordination with West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department to immediately install street lights. “As the initial stage, I'll will instruct Satpol PP assisted by urban village supervisory non-commissioned officers (Babinsa) for sub-district military command (Koramil) to routinely patrol at night,” he disclosed.
