I immediately pushed for all schools and local government infrastructure facilities to be repaired based on the principle of priority scale
Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono admitted he pushed for improvements to local government facilities and infrastructure since being appointed to lead the Jakarta Government.
"Since I took over as Acting Governor, in October 2022, I immediately pushed for all schools and local government infrastructure facilities to be repaired based on the principle of priority scale," he expressed, Wednesday (7/31).
Two School Buildings will Be Built in West Jakarta ShortlyHe explained Jakarta began allocating a budget for school building repairs in Jakarta from 2023 to 2025 with a priority scale principle.
"Last year, there were 17 schools improved, followed by 19 schools this year and 15 schools next year," he explained.
He went on to say that the Jakarta Government for two years, namely 2019 and 2020, did not allocate a budget for repairing school buildings. In 2021, three schools were improved and no budget in 2022.
"Now it's normal, I'm pushing the existing budget, one of which is to repair school buildings from elementary to high school," he continued.
Even, the Jakarta Government would also repair all school buildings, including markets and the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) office.
"Since I came in and until now, the Dishub building has not been repaired. So, in 2025, we will repair it," he stressed.
Previously, in the Plenary Meeting held by the Gerindra Party Faction regarding the Draft Bylaw on Accountability for the Implementation of the P2APBD 2023, which was read by Munir Arsyad, he had conveyed notes regarding the many public school buildings in Jakarta that had not been rehabilitated.
"As the Gerindra Faction has conveyed in the DPRD Plenary Meeting, specifically in the determination of the Draft Bylaw on the APBD 2023 and Amendments, there are still many school buildings that need to be improved," he stated.
