Famtrip is a valuable opportunity to strengthen relations between Jakarta and France, as well as opening opportunities for further collaboration in the fields of fashion and the creative economy.

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Agency Head, Andhika Permata said the famtrip is held in order to promote Jakarta's iconic tourist destinations and strengthen relations with international fashion industry players.

"We'e very enthusiastic to be able to collaborate with Pintu Incubator in JF3 2024 and introduce the rich culture and tourist destinations of Jakarta to French designers," he expressed, Thursday (8/1).

He went on say that they got an in-depth experience of Indonesian culture during the Famtrip through traditional art performances, seeing the results of handicraft workshops and enjoying typical Indonesian culinary delights. They also interacted with local designers and Indonesian fashion industry players.

He hoped that it was also expected to be a good first step in strengthening the synergy between JF3 and the Parekraf Agency in advancing the tourism industry and creative economy in Jakarta.

"Hopefully, French designers can be inspired by the richness of Indonesian culture and create works that combine traditional elements with a modern touch," he hoped.

As for the information, Pintu Incubator is a bilateral program designed for creative industries and MSMEs in the Indonesian and French fashion world. This program is a partnership between the fashion industry champion Jakarta Fashion Food Festival (JF3), the LAKON Indonesia fashion ecosystem, the French Embassy in Indonesia and the Institut Français d'Indonésie (IFI).

These partners have a common intention to encourage the emergence of new design talent in Indonesia and France with a strong focus on sustainability and traditional knowledge which will ultimately catalyze economic development and creative industry collaboration opportunities in the long term, in Indonesia, France and international markets.
