Transjakarta Wins IBEA EV Ecosystem Award 2024

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) won an award at the Indonesia Best Electricity Award (IBEA) EV Ecosystem Award 2024.

We're proud that Transjakarta has proven to be one of the contributors

This award was received directly by Transjakarta Operations and Safety Director, Daud Joseph, at ICC Brin KST Soekarno, Cibinong, West Java on Saturday (8/10).

According to him, the award is real evidence of Transjakarta's commitment to providing environmentally friendly sustainable transportation, one of which is through the operation of electric buses in Transjakarta services.

"With this award, we're proud that Transjakarta has proven to be one of the contributors and pioneers of sustainable transportation that has utilized and operated electric buses," he expressed, Tuesday (8/13).

He explained the Indonesia Best Electricity Award (IBEA) EV Ecosystem Award 2024 was held to assess the commitment of stakeholders in building an electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. The Transjakarta ecosystem is committed to integrating sustainability in every corner of the service, through the Transjakarta Clean, Empowered, and Bestari sustainable program framework.

Clean means, clean transportation services and paying attention to environmental impacts. While Empowered means, empowering the local economy to grow with Transjakarta. While Bestari means providing inclusive space within the Transjakarta ecosystem.

He added the use and operation of electric buses fall within the sustainable framework of the Clean Pillar. Transjakarta has operated 100 electric buses with plans to add 200 units this year.

"We're trying to do full electrification through electric buses to support Jakarta Provincial Government's target to achieve net zero emissions by 2050," he stated.
