This Week, Channel Normalization in Palmeriam Completed

The water channels normalization located on Jalan Penegak Gg 1, RW 01, Palmeriam Urban Village, Matraman, East Jakarta is targeted for completion this weekend.

The current channels are still not up to standard

Matraman Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force Coordinator, Saeful said the normalization of the 47-meter-long water channel had been underway since July 29. It was done manually involving 10 personnel.

"The current channels are still not up to standard. That's why, normalization is conducted and the cover is installed using a concrete plate," he expressed, Thursday (8/15).

He explained it was done by installing U-Ditch concrete complete with a cover measuring 40x60 centimeters and 50X60 centimeters, including the concrete plate holder.

To prevent the manhole cover from shifting when vehicles pass by, the left and right sides were plastered.

"It is targeted for completion in the end of this week," he stated.
