Psychosocial Services Held for Manggarai Fire Survivors

South Jakarta Social Sub-agency provided Psychosocial Service for children of Manggarai fire survivors who take refugee at SDN Manggarai 05, Manggarai Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district.

South Jakarta Social Sub-agency, Bernard Tambunan, said the program was participated by 100 children.

"We provide these psychosocial services to restore the children's health, especially their mental health, so that they do not experience prolonged trauma after the fire that destroyed their homes," he said, Thursday (8/15).

He added that 20 officers were deployed to the program. They provide materials that can increase enthusiasm and eliminate feelings of trauma, such as dexterity games, coloring, and so on.

"We also provide supporting facilities and infrastructure for children's activities such as stationery and coloring tools. Attractive prizes were also prepared for them," he added.

He continued that the sub-agency keeps making sure food and clothing needs of fire survivors are well prepared. All services from Jakarta Provincial Government together with other elements are continued until and undetermined time.
