Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, attended the welcoming procession of the Commander of the Jayakarta Regional Military Command (Pangdam Jaya) from Lt. Gen. TNI Mohamad Hasan to Maj. Gen. TNI Rafael Granada Baay. It was held at Kodam Jaya Headquarters, Cililitan, East Jakarta, Wednesday (8/21).

On that occasion, he appreciated the role of Lt. Gen. TNI Mohamad Hasan for his extraordinary dedication, hard work, and dedication while serving as Pangdam Jaya. He hoped, this spirit would continue to be applied in running his new mandate as Commander of the TNI Army Strategic Command (Kostrad).

"During Mr. (Lt. Gen. TNI Mohamad Hasan's) leadership, Jakarta was able to maintain conducive security stability, and there was strong synergy between Kodam Jaya and the Jakarta Government in various development and security programs for the city. May this friendship continue to be maintained and successful for you in the new journey that will be taken in the future," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Governor's press release.

He also welcomed TNI Maj. Gen. Rafael Granada Baay as the new Pangdam Jaya. Previously, Major General TNI Rafael Granada Baay served as Commander of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres), and most recently as Pangdam V Brawijaya.

"I would also like to welcome Maj. Gen. TNI Rafael Granada Baay to Jakarta. Congratulations on your duties and mandate as Commander of the Jaya/Jayakarta Regional Military Command," he explained.

He hoped that under the leadership of Maj. Gen. TNI Rafael Granada Baay, the synergy between Kodam Jaya and the Jakarta Government would become stronger in maintaining stability, security, and supporting development in Jakarta towards becoming a global city.

"Once again, I congratulate Maj. Gen. TNI Rafael Granada Baay on duty. Hope this mandate will be conducted well, thus it will be easy to protect, protect and maintain the stability and security of the City of Jakarta," he stated.
