The Koja Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, North Jakarta is dredging a water channel on Jalan Lagoa Terusan, RW 01, Lagoa Urban Village.

Koja Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Slamet Riyanto said the dredging of the water channel with 80 centimeters high and 60 centimeters wide was conducted along 150 meters.
"This is routine maintenance to maintain optimal channel capacity," he expressed, Tuesday (8/27).

"We have managed to collect around 500 sacks of mud and garbage and then dispose of them in the Ancol PLTU area, North Jakarta. It is targeted for completion in the forthcoming September," he uttered.
He hoped that the channel could accommodate rainwater in large quantities, especially in the rainy season.
"Hope it can stop flooding. I want locals to contribute in maintaining cleanliness," he stressed.
The work received appreciation from a resident of Lagoa Urban Village, Fariz Muhammad (32).
"Thank you to personnel who have done dredging on the channels in our area. Hopefully, it can prevent water from overflowing," he stated.
