240 Junior High School Students in Central Jakarta Visit Jakarta's Historical Sites

As many as 300 participants; 240 junior high school students and 60 teachers, participated in Jakarta's historical visit program held by Central Jakarta Culture Sub-agency.

They visit Kota Tua Museum and Setu Babakan

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, a visit to this historical object will provide learning about the development of Jakarta. It is hoped that this activity will enrich students' understanding of related historical materials.

500 Participants Visit Cultural and Historical Tourism Sites

"We'll get new knowledge by learning outside the class," he said, Wednesday (9/4).

Dhany also asked the participants to provide information about the historical tourist they visited via their respective social media to the public.

"Please spread the information about the historical sites you visited via your social media," Dhany added.

Central Jakarta Culture Sub-agency's Protection Section Head, Muhammad Amin, stated the program is divided into two sessions; Wednesday (9/4) and Thursday (9/5). Each session is participated by 120 students and 30 teachers.

First session involved students from SMPN 60 Jakarta, SMPN 1 Jakarta, SMP Yapermas, SMP Santo Bellarminus, SMP Bunda Mulia, SMPN 17 Jakarta, SMPN 4 Jakarta, SMPN 64 Jakarta, SMPN 70 Jakarta, and SMP Hati Suci.

Then the second session will be participated by students and teachers from SMPN 10 Jakarta, SMP Taman Siswa, SMPN 118 Jakarta, SMPN 156 Jakarta, SMPN 77 Jakarta, SMPN 71 Jakarta, SMPN 183 Jakarta, SMPN 76 Jakarta, SMPN 93 Jakarta and SMPN 78 Jakarta.

"They visit Kota Tua Museum and Setu Babakan," he stated.
