As many as 25 residents participated the socialization of raising awareness of law and human rights held by West Jakarta City Secretariat's Legal Section, at Slipi Urban Village Office, Palmerah Sub-district, Wednesday (9/4).

West Jakarta City Secretariat's Legal Section Head, Hilmy Rosyida, said the program was participated by RT/RW, LMK, FKDM, Karang Taruna, PKK, Jumantik, Dasawisma, and Posyandu.

"Socialization is carried out in order to provide awareness and develop a culture of law-abiding citizens," Hilmy said.

Acting Slipi Urban Village Head, Zaenal Ngaripin, appreciated the program held by West Jakarta City Secretariat's Legal Section.

"This program is useful and important for the community because they increase the knowledge and insight, especially in legal matters, both related to human rights, inheritance law and so on," he stated.

The material presented includes legal protection for women, child victims of violence and inheritance law.
