Jakarta Judo Team successfully added to its medal collection at PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024 by winning two gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal at the match held at Syiah Kuala University Student Arena, Banda Aceh, Wednesday (9/11).

Gold medals were achieved by Chandra Kurnia in the men's -73kg category and Gerard C George Pantaow in the men's -81kg category. Dewi Shinta presented a bronze medal in the women's -57kg category.

He cited how Chandra Kurnia, who was appearing in PON for the first time, had to face a tough opponent in the final, a West Java athlete who had won PON three times and had even won the SEA Games.
"I instilled that we are the same, have the same technique, and the important thing is to be patient and calm, and look for opportunities. Insya Allah, I got it," he uttered.
With high enthusiasm and motivation, the Jakarta Judo team is expected to continue to increase its medal tally and achieve its set targets.
