It was a historic moment for Harvey, because, in addition to winning gold, he also managed to break the Asian record with a time of 41.6 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 42.07 seconds.

He dedicated this victory to Almighty God, as well as his family and lover who always supported and prayed for him from a distance.

"They are all-in in supporting me. Always supporting and praying for me from a distance," he said gratefully.

He admitted that breaking the Asian record had been his target since pre-PON. His journey to the highest podium in PON was not easy. He had to overcome various challenges, including a shoulder injury that had hampered his training.

Despite being filled with mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness before the match, Harvey remained focused on his plan and believed in the process he had gone through. With strong motivation, he managed to rise and achieve an extraordinary victory.

"I'm very happy, it has been my target since after pre-PON to break the Asian record. For me, it was quite a tough process. I had a shoulder injury. Finally, I got up again and I was able to reach the number one podium. Two weeks before leaving for Aceh to participate in PON, my injury had just recovered," he explained.

He gave encouragement and motivation to the pool diving athletes who would compete the next day, as well as athletes from other sports to continue fighting for gold medals.

"For the diving team, stay enthusiastic, whatever happens, today, forget it, we reset again for tomorrow, and we chase the gold again. For the entire Jakarta contingent, continue to strive to pursue the title of General Champion, especially in the tight competition towards the top of the medal standings,"

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Head, Andri Yansyah uttered Harvey Hubert Marcello Hutasuhut's achievement is not only a personal pride, but also an inspiration for all athletes, especially Jakarta contingent at PON XXI to not give up, keep training, and believe in the process.

“We can reach big dreams, as long as we work hard and have support from loved ones,” he stated.
