11,572 People Visit Seribu Island During Long Weekend Holiday

As many as 11,572 people visited Seribu Island during September 14-16, 2024 or long weekend holiday.

Seribu Island Tourism and Creative Economy Head, Sonti Pangaribuan, detailed 5,809 people visited Seribu Island on Saturday (9/14), 4,629 people on Sunday (9/15), and 1,134 people on Monday (9/16).

"Those were local and foreign tourists," he said, Tuesday (9/17).

Sonti added that those tourists entered Seribu Island from four ports namely Muara Angke Port, Marina Ancol, Tanjung Pasir, and Cituis Port. They used both speedboat and traditional boats.

According to him, the Seribu Islands are still one of the favorite tourist destinations for tourists. That is why the Seribu Islands Regency continues to improve facilities and infrastructure to develop other islands.

"They usually also visit other islands during their visit here," he added.

Sonti advised the tourists to also monitor the weather from BMKG for the sake of their happiness while heading to the islands.

"Hopefully this moment also brings positive impact for local residents and resort owners," he continued.

Meanwhile, one of tourists living in Tangerang, Sendy (25), admitted she often to spend holiday in Seribu Island.
