Jakarta Rowing Wins Two More Golds

Jakarta contingent again successfully added two gold medals in the rowing sport at PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024.

Alhamdulillah (Thank God), we can finally give Jakarta more gold medals

The match was located on Kapuk Island Beach, Lhoknga Sub-district, Aceh Besar Regency, Wednesday (9/19). Those medals were won by Lola Hanarina Blegur who competed in the Beach Sprint (CW1X) category and M Ikbal also in the same category.

Even, Jakarta also successfully brought home a bronze medal won by the pair M Ikbal and Lola Hanarina Blegur in the beach sprint (CMIX2X). Finally, in the CMIX2X match, athletes M Ikbal and Lola Hanarina Blegur won a silver medal.

Jakarta Women's Soft Tennis Wins Second Gold

Jakarta Rowing Team Coach, Qurrotul Ayun, admitted that she was proud of her team's achievements in bringing home two additional gold medals for Jakarta.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), we can finally give Jakarta more gold medals," she expressed.

She expressed her gratitude to the Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) and the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Jakarta for their full support of the rowing sport.

"Thank you for supporting us with equipment so we can train freely," she added.

She was grateful that the hard work of the rowing contingent during training and the competition at PON XXI produced good results.

"And we met our promise to get two golds and one bronze. We must be able to get three golds," she stated.
