Supporting Peparnas XVII in Solo, Transjakarta Sends 10 Low Entry Bus Units

PT Transjakarta sent 10 buses and 36 officers to Solo, Central Java in order to make the National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) XVII 2024 a success, which will be held from October 6 to 13, 2024.

Hope the athletes will be more comfortable

Transjakarta Public Relation Department and CSR Head, Ayu Wardhani said all the buses sent were low entry type buses with disability-friendly designs, especially for wheelchair users.

"This bus has various advantages, such as the height of the entry and exit doors which can be adjusted to be parallel to the pedestrian area or sidewalk," she expressed, Wednesday (10/2).

Jakarta Contingent Ready to Compete at Peparnas XVII Solo

She explained this bus is also equipped with an inclined plane that is installed as a substitute for stairs or ramps. The low entry bus has a 62 people capacity, and can accommodate six wheelchair users.

The type of bus used has a low floor so that it is easy for disabled customers to get on and off the bus comfortably.

"Hope the athletes will be more comfortable while using the Transjakarta bus at Peparnas," she hoped.

She uttered these low-entry buses would be the mode of transportation used by athletes at Peparnas XVII in Solo.

As an implementation of the Provincial Goal of 'Jakarta's Success for Indonesia' promoted by the Jakarta Government, it has become a trigger for PT Transjakarta to continue to be present and serve the community on various occasions, facilitating mobility.

"Transjakarta together with the Jakarta Government is very happy to be able to take part in this event. Good luck to the athletes, and let's spread positive spirit together with Transjakarta," he uttered.
