Putut added the fire started in a used goods warehouse which then spread to burn the workers' shed. After struggling with the fire, Putut continued, his team managed to localize the fire at 1:30 PM. One of the obstacles faced by officers in extinguishing the fire was that there were many flammable items.

"Our personnel sprayed the water longer to make sure the fire was extinguished fully," he added.

Pegadungan Urban Village Head, Rachmat Mulyadi, stated the fire was allegedly caused by electrical short circuit.

"The material loss is being calculated. Luckily there is no victim in this incident," he stated.
