Oath-Taking Plenary Session of Jakarta City Council Held Today

Jakarta City Council held plenary session of oath-taking for 2024-2029 leaderships, Friday (10/4). The oath and promise of the five leaderships was in accordance with the Decree of Minister of Home Affairs No 100.2.1.4-4162/2024.

Those five leaderships are Khoirudin as Jakarta City Council Chairman, and four Deputy Chairman; Ima Mahdiah, Rany Mauliani, Wibi Andrino, and Basri Baco. The oath-taking process was led by the Deputy Chief Justice of the Jakarta High Court, Artha Theresia.

Temporary City Council Chairman Prepares Several Stages After Inauguration

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, who was present at the plenary session, congratulated the leaders and members of Jakarta City Council who were elected in the 2024 General Election. He said that the 2024 General Election had taken place safely and peacefully.

"On behalf of Jakarta Provincial Government, I would like to thank the people of Jakarta who have used their right to vote and all parties who played a role in making this a success," Heru said.

After no longer being capital city, Heru added, Jakarta faces challenges to transform as global economy center. It is based on Jakarta Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) 2024-2045.

"We hope for synergy from all parties in making Jakarta a livable, safe, prosperous and sustainable city," he added.

Heru continued, Jakarta Provincial Government continues to strive to improve the services and administration quality in order to provide a transparent and accountable government.

Meanwhile, Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin, stated that his position is a mandate and destiny of Allah.

In the near future, he added, leadership meeting will be held with the factions to discuss the council's equipment.

"It is targeted to complete next week," he said.
