Jakarta contingents grabbed another gold medal, Tuesday (10/8), from its Shooting athlete, Hendra (42) at Peparnas XVII Solo, Central Java. This result adds Jakarta gold collection to nine medals.

Hendra won gold for the SH1 category or waist-down disability using long-barreled weapons. In the final round, Hendra, who was appearing for the first time at Peparnas, managed to defeat his toughest rival, Mahyudi, an athlete from South Kalimantan.

He added that the gold medal is dedicated to his beloved wife and fellow of Jakarta contingents.
"For all my contingent friends, please remain optimistic and focus," he added.
Hendra practices shooting with Perbakin in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta every day, except Friday. He joined the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Jakarta this year.
Meanwhile, Inca Ferry Wihartanti, Jakarta Shooting Coach, explained her side sent eight athletes at Peparnas XVII Solo. They compete in five of the seven categories.
"We just grabbed gold medal today. We're very proud," she admitted.
