Jakarta Peparnas XVII Contingent Grabs Nine Gold Medals

Up to Wednesday (10/9) at 8:30 AM, Jakarta contingent has collected nine gold, six silver, and nine bronze medals. With this achievement, Jakarta is on fifth place of the table.

Jakarta Contingent Chairman, Rahman Defiandi, said getting another gold medal is still wide open. Jakarta can also crawl to big four.

"Our target is big five. But we have chance to crawl to big four. Please do not stop supporting us," he said.

Rahmat hopes Jakarta can participate in 20 sport branches in next Peparnas and able to become the overall champion with many more athletes.

He added that Jakarta sent 167 athletes for Peparnas XVII Solo. The number is lower compared to West Java by 360 athletes and Central Java 375 athletes.

Based on data collected by the Jakarta National Paralympic Committee (NPC), Jakarta's nine gold medals came from athletes Rafi Syafar (400m Freestyle Swimming S14), Rizki Setiawan (100m Men's Breaststroke Swimming S7), Alfendi (100m Men's Breaststroke Swimming S10) and Kristian Julian Vano (100m Men's Freestyle Swimming S10).

Then Iasadewa Satrianya Aji (200m Freestyle Swimming Men's S11), Ferdy Salam (100m Backstroke Swimming Men's S9), Iasadewa Satrianya Aji (50m Backstroke Swimming Men's S11), Hendra (Shooting - 10m Air Rifle SH 1) and Marta Susanty (39), TPB2 Tenpin Bowling class.

The silver medals were contributed by Fajar Trihadi (100m Men's Breaststroke S11), M. Nevansyah Fitranov Baso (100m Men's Breaststroke S14), Anastasya Putri Nur Roqim (100m Women's Freestyle S9), Moh. Agung (100 M - Men's 54 Men).

Then Apriyandi (100m Men's Backstroke S9) and Muhamad Muwafiq (50m Men's Backstroke S9).

Meanwhile, the bronze medals won by athletes Iqbal Adi Saputra (50 M Backstroke Men's S7), Athallah Ridho K (50m Butterfly Men's S14), Kabul Efendi (50m Backstroke Men's S9) and Muhammad Sulaiman Syahputra (50m Backstroke Men's S11).

Next, Riduan Purba for the 100 M wheelchair athletics race - Men 54 Men, Yatimah (Javelin Throw F57), Elih (Individual Epee Women's Category B), Lazarro Charas Lumban (100m Running Athletics, Men 37).

Bronze medals were also won from the fencing sport by athletes Angga Budi Prasetyo, Ryo Afandi, Muhammad Farhan Fadlurrahman, Yulio Herbimawan (Men's Foil Team Fencing).
