The Jakarta wheelchair fencing, Wednesday (10/9), contributed two bronze medals at the Peparnas XVII Solo, Central Java. They competed at the Solia Zigna Hotel Venue, Jalan DR Radjiman, Surakarta.

Hopefully later I can win a gold medal

Wheelchair fencing physical trainer, Ikrar Setia Rahardi said, this medal was obtained from the women's individual number through athlete Elih and the men's team consisting of Angga, Farhan, Ryo Angga and Yulio.

"We sent nine athletes for this year Peparnas. Hopefully we can grab medals every day," he said.

One of fencing athletes, Muhammad Faruq Abdurrahman, admitted it is his first time competing fencing in Peparnas. Previously, he participated in football and basketball.

He felt grateful to be able to win a bronze medal in the team event and determined to get gold for the individual event later.

"Hopefully later I can win a gold medal because I'm still competing," he stated.
