Wheelchair fencing physical trainer, Ikrar Setia Rahardi said, this medal was obtained from the women's individual number through athlete Elih and the men's team consisting of Angga, Farhan, Ryo Angga and Yulio.

One of fencing athletes, Muhammad Faruq Abdurrahman, admitted it is his first time competing fencing in Peparnas. Previously, he participated in football and basketball.
He felt grateful to be able to win a bronze medal in the team event and determined to get gold for the individual event later.
"Hopefully later I can win a gold medal because I'm still competing," he stated.
