Acting Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono launched the Southgate-Tanjung Barat Pedestrian Bridge that connects AEON Mall and Tanjung Barat Station, South Jakarta, Monday (10/14).

The revitalization of the JPO uses the Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) financing scheme from PT Duta Semesta Mas (Sinar Mas Land), as a form of limiting the intensity of land use, controlling development, and reducing environmental impacts around the area.

Heru Appreciates LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Progress Exceeding TargetHeru explained that the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to strive to improve public transportation integration facilities through integration of routes, stops and stations, connectivity areas, fares and payment modes.
It is hoped that these efforts can increase the number of public transportation users in Jakarta. Heru added that synergy with the private sector is one scheme that can be an example in building public facilities for the community.
"I give my appreciation to PT Duta Semesta Mas and all side who have contributed in the revitalization. Let's continue to strengthen synergy to provide excellent service to residents and support Jakarta's transformation as a global city," he added.
According to him, the Southgate-Tanjung Barat crossing bridge revitalization is based on Jakarta Transportation Agency recommendation related to community and vehicle mobility around AEON Mall, Tanjung Barat, South Jakarta. It is hoped the revitalization will ease the community mobility.
The crossing bridge is also equipped with six person-capacity lift prioritized for pregnant woman, elderly, and disabled. The temporary zebra cross will soon be eliminated after the operation of the bridge.
