South Jakarta Satpol PP held a capacity building activity for the Tramtibum Care Community (MPT) at Cosmo Amaroossa, Jalan Pangeran Antasari, Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district. This activity was attended by 100 participants.

Jakarta Satpol PP's Community Protection Head, Herry Purnama, said the activity was held to build MPT capacity as Satpol PP partner in order to collaborate to socialize, inform the public, and help Satpol PP maintain public order and security.

"This is one of the innovations that we are putting forward in the regional government, of course in a situation of public order and peace," he said, Tuesday (10/22).

It is hoped, he added, innovative and creative thoughts can be explored for community participation development in term of public order and security.

"Hopefully we can collaborate with society to create public order and security especially ahead of Jakarta Regional Election and Jakarta as Global City," he added.

Meanwhile, Acting South Jakarta Governmental Assistant, Mukhlisin, explained MPT volunteers are expected to have the function of increasing coordination and synergy between the community and the government in supporting every policy, especially regarding the implementation of Tramtibum.

"Society's role and participation is needed to support Satpol PP's duties," he explained.

He hoped this activity is able to minimize Tramtibum violation. Then participants can be a source of information, coordination, and increase public insight about Tramtibum.
