West Jakarta Vice Mayor, Hendra Hidayat, requested all Regional Working Unit (OPD) to increase the collaboration for the sake of reducing stunting optimally.
"Kita masih butuh penurunan tiga persen untuk bisa mencapai target prevalensi stunting nasional,"
Based on 2023 Indonesia health survey, Hendra said, the prevalence of stunting in West is still 17.2 percent. The achievement is still far from the national stunting prevalence target of 14 percent.
Commission E: Stunting Handling Budget is Important"We need to reduce three percent remaining to reach the national stunting prevalence," Hendra said, Monday (10/28).
Hendra emphasized that collaboration between all parties is needed by increasing effective and efficient planning and reduction to reach the target.
In addition, taking action in managing activities, monitoring and evaluation in order to increase the effectiveness of determining service targets and allocating resources are also necessary.
"I hope there will be published data on stunting in eight sub-districts and 57 urban villages. Special handling needs data as reference for future budgeting," he stated.
West Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Erizon Safari, explained measurement and publication of stunting data is an effort by the city government to obtain the latest stunting prevalence data.
According to him, data publication not only presents stunting prevalence figures, but also the prevalence of other nutritional problems, such as wasting and underweight, service coverage data and the results of the handling that has been carried out.
"It is aimed to ensure the set targets can be achieved immediately. So then we can optimize the future planning," he stated.
