Rawa Buaya Residents Trained to Make Handicrafts from Used Goods

As many as 50 residents of Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta are taught to make handicrafts using piggy banks from used mineral water bottles.

Its training is held at Cempaka RPTRA, Jalan Cempaka Raya, RT 03/12, Rawa Buaya Urban Village.
Cempaka RPTRA Caretaker, Zakiyah expressed this skills training was conducted routinely twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday with various handicrafts.

According to her, used mineral water bottles were made into piggy banks in the shape of dolls or flowers with the addition of leftover flannel fabric and other decorative materials.
"By utilizing used goods, hopefully, it can help reduce the volume of waste," she concluded.
The training itself received appreciation from Karmila (31).
"This is positive, as it taught me to be creative in utilizing used goods to create useful works," she stated.
