Communal Sanitation Facilities to Be Built at RW 03 Bangka Urban Village

Bangka Urban Village Head, Firdaus Aulawy Rois, said today's visit was aimed to monitor the location before realizing the construction.

"Today we are reviewing together with representatives from the Lions Club who will help build communal toilets and septic tanks through the Lions Club Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program," he said, Tuesday (11/5).

He hopes that the construction of communal sanitation can create Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) for residents and provide a positive impact on 67 families at RT 12/03.

"Hopefully the construction can be realized immediately," he hoped.

Representative of Bangka Urban Village's Additional Community Health Center, Ria Nuraisyah, explained the construction of communal sanitation facilities is important to prevent residents from diseases such as diarrhea, hepatitis A, typhoid, and so on.

"It helps us especially for community-based programs in creating healthy citizens who are also free from stunting by constructing communal toilets and septic tanks," she explained.

Meanwhile, representative of Lion Club, Alvin, stated his side wants to help the government and community to establish PHBS through the construction of communal sanitation facilities.

"It is hoped the program will run smoothly and residents here will be healthier," he stated.
