West Jakarta Water Resource (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Purwanti Suryandari, explained those 268 pumps are 148 pumps placed at 46 stationer pump houses, 70 mobile pumps, and 50 float pumps.

"We prepare 268 pumps spread at eight sub-districts to anticipate flood," Purwanti said, Tuesday (11/5).

Purwanti added that hundreds of water pump will be used according to their type. Stationary pumps are usually integrated with the pump house. Then mobile pumps are ore incidental and can be moved as needed. Floating pumps are usually used to handle inundation on neighborhood roads, highways or residential areas.

"50 floating and 70 mobile pumps are already spread at eight sub-districts and ready to operate during rainy season to anticipate flood," Purwanti stated.
