Tens of Tree Planted at Environmental Agency Housing Complex Cengkareng

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency planted trees at Jakarta Environmental Agency Housing Complex, Jalan Bambu Larangan, Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, Cengkareng, Friday (11/8). There were 81 trees planted there.

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Romy Sidharta said those trees were 36 bungur trees, 30 pink tabebuia trees, and 15 yellow tabebuia trees.

"The planting is part of Friday Planting program and held routinely," he said.

Tree Planting Program in West Jakarta Intensified

Cengkareng Sub-district City Park and Forestry Implementer Unit Head, Hotman Marudut said the planting was run on land owned by Jakarta Provincial Government by one hectare.

"The planting is also aimed to secure the asset," he stated.

Meanwhile, Cengkareng Urban Village Head, Ahmad Faqih appreciated the today's planting activity.

"With more trees being planted, it is hoped that in addition to being greener and shadier, it will also become a water catchment area and absorb air pollution," he hoped.
