DBD Case Declining during May-October Periods in North Jakarta

North Jakarta Health Sub-agency noted the dengue fever is declining during May-October 2024. Then there is only one case in November.

North Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Lysbeth Regina Pandjaitan said there are 2,540 dengue fever cases during January to November 2024.

Lysbeth added the monthly case number is vary from 39 cases in January and 697 cases in April 2024.

"The case significantly increased in March by 314 cases," she said, Tuesday (11/12).

According to him, there were 672 cases in May, 258 cases in June, 190 cases in July, 134 cases in August, 94 cases in September and 61 cases October.

"The death number of dengue fever case is nine cases from January to early November," she added.

The highest dengue fever case location during January to early November was Cilincing Sub-district by 656 cases, Penjaringan Sub-district 544 cases, Tanjung Priok by 443 cases, Koja by 371 cases, Kelapa Gading by 328 cases and Pademangan Sub-district by 198 cases.

Lysbeth explained the declining dengue fever case in North Jakarta is also supported by joint mosquito nest eradication in several areas.

"We will also continue to strengthen surveillance activities in the community," she stated.
