Jakarta City Council's Commission B member, Dwi Rio Sambodo supports Jakarta Provincial Government to increase MSME level by giving stimulus and other assistance.

He assessed that the efforts made by the Jakarta Provincial Government were good, but the implementation need to be improved to get optimal results.

Rio also emphasized the importance of training for MSME related to product marketing since MSME market is currently still minimal. In the other side, community has a lot of economic potential that can be developed.
"Many market shares are not connected to resources, the economy of the urban village residents. We need to drive them well," he added.
Rio continued that the handling of slum and poor RW in Jakarta can also be solved by increasing MSME level in form of driving activities. Thus, the gap of inequality and economic disparity can be reduced and can also improve the regional economy.
"One of the ways to get there is through MSME and PPKUKM Agency by carrying out intervention and policy action that can lift and overcome slum and poor RW," he continued.
Meanwhile, another Jakarta City Council's Commission B member, Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli encourages the involvement of MSMEs in utilizing the underground space of MRT stations. According to him, the government needs to prioritize MSMEs because it will have an impact on the growth of the people's economy.
"We must prioritize MSME so that they can move up a class. We give them opportunity to sell or to rent and become tenants at MRT stations," he said.
Taufik also appealed MSME to improve their product quality to attract public and compete with various other products.
"We can imagine that the station can also grow the people's economy. I think the rent fee should not be too expensive," he stated.
