Tourism potential is very attractive for tourists to enjoy

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission B, Dwi Rio Sambodo says the Jakarta Provincial Government to further optimize the tourism sector.

According to him, optimal management of the tourism sector would have an impact on improving the regional economy, opening jobs, and minimizing social disparities.

"Can work on or explore existing and abundant tourism resources and potential. It's just a matter of how this is done, management engineering, and so on. For instance, the Seribu Islands are amazing," he expressed, Monday (11/18).

According to him, tourism potential that could be further developed in Jakarta's villages were handicrafts, art performances, culture, culinary, and others.

"Tourism potential is very attractive for tourists to enjoy. This is what can be explored and managed in a great and of course serious way," he explained.

He added optimal management of the tourism sector was needed to welcome Jakarta after it officially ceased to be the capital. The Tourism and Creative Economy Agency can optimize tourist villages.

"The initial intervention was to conduct socio-economic engineering in several potential places, then clone it in other places," he added.

He suggested that the Jakarta Provincial Government study the development and management of tourism in Yogyakarta and several other areas. Besides developing regional tourism, training was also important for residents to welcome tourists friendly and fun.

Therefore, he prompted them to optimally involve the community in developing tourism potential in Jakarta.

"At Jalan Jaksa for instance, Kampung Condet Village can be optimized again. There is also a literacy campus, which can also be a tourist village in Thamrin area," he stated.
