The Jakarta Cultural Agency (Disbud), received the Indonesian Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTbI) certificate at Indonesian Cultural Heritage Appreciation (AWBI) event held by the Culture Ministry on Saturday (11/16), at Fatahillah Park, West Jakarta.

This is not only a symbol of appreciation, but can also encourage people to love, preserve, and develop local culture

Jakarta Disbud Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana said the WBTbI certificate was handed over directly by Culture Minister, Fadli Zon and Culture Deputy Minister, Girin Ganesha Djumaryo, to Cultural Protection Division Head, Linda Enriany.

"This is the peak of a series of activities from the Determination of Cultural Advancement Objects as WBTbI. In this AWBI 2024, the Jakarta Government received eight certificates," he expressed, as quoted by the Jakarta Government's press release, Wednesday (11/19).

He asserted his party would continue to be committed to supporting cultural protection, development, and utilization programs to preserve cultural diversity in Jakarta.

Eight cultural works have been designated as WBTbI from Jakarta, namely Gambus Betawi; Sampyong Music; Tugu Creole Language; Si Pitung, Nyorog; Rias Bakal; Oblog; and Kopi Jahe Betawi (Ginger Coffee).

He added the determination of eight cultural works as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Indonesia is a real manifestation of efforts to preserve Betawi culture and the cultural richness of Jakarta.
