He expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the synergy of PT Paiton Energi which has supported renewable energy policies, especially in the world of education.

"The same installation was also spotted at SMAN 54 (Central Jakarta), and SMAN 53 (West Jakarta)," he expressed, Thursday (12/5).

He explained it is an important means to support the Jakarta Provincial Government in realizing the net zero carbon school program, while also providing education to students about the importance of renewable energy in the future.

"Hopefully, it can create a positive impact, either in terms of economy or environment, including learning and knowledge, as well as inspire similar projects for students," he explained.

PT Paiton Energi President Director, Fazil Erwin Alfitri explained his party was bringing PLTS to schools in the form of 20 Solar PV (Photovoltaic) units with 10 Kilowatt Peak (KwP) capacity.

It could produce electricity of up to 10 Kilowatts (Kw) which can be used for daily school needs. Even, in a month, it could reduce CO2 emissions by 0.68 tons and is equivalent to planting one tree.

"This is part of our efforts to support the government in achieving three of the 17 global and national goals of sustainable development, namely quality education, clean and affordable energy, and handling climate change," he explained.

SMAN 70 Jakarta Principal, Sunaryo hoped that this PLTS could bring real benefits to schools in terms of learning, energy efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions. By doing so, the school would optimally utilize it to support higher quality education.

"Aside that, this program has become a practical learning tool for our students. Surely, it will motivate them to understand more about renewable energy and the importance of protecting the environment," he added.
