Jakarta DPRD Commission C Secretary, Suhud Alynudin expressed his support for the Jakarta Provincial Government's steps through the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) which provides incentives for eliminating administrative sanctions for the motorized vehicle tax (PKB) and vehicle-ownership transfer fees (BBNKB) for the first delivery.

According to him, this breakthrough was important to give a stimulus in a bid to trigger vehicle owners to fulfill their obligations.

"Hopefully, it is able to make residents to be more obedient in paying vehicle tax," he expressed, Thursday (12/5).

He also pushed the Jakarta Government to intensify socialization and increase public awareness to fulfill their tax obligations. This effort was needed to increase regional income from the tax sector. The Jakarta Government was also urged to utilize technology to detect potential taxpayers and facilitate people to pay taxes.

"This tax is very important to finance physical and non-physical development," he uttered.

As for the information, PKB and BBNKB incentives are for taxpayers who fulfill their obligations from December 2-31, 2024.
