That is why Jakarta Provincial Government continues to prioritize efforts in reducing unemployment rates through a comprehensive approach. Sri continued that Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing an Unemployment Management System grand design. This is a comprehensive long-term strategic step.
"The grand design includes data utilization, identifying the problem, annual target, its achievements in the context of eradicating unemployment, then the strategy, and there must be an indicator of success of right solution for Jakarta," she added.
She continued that Jakarta Provincial Government is also ensuring that Jakarta's workforce has skills that are in accordance with industry needs and collaborates with the business world by revitalizing vocational education and training.
"Our focus is preparing supply. We have vocational schools, regional job training center, and also formal education. Then we also prepare the manpower based on the business world needs," she continued.
Jakarta Provincial Government also creates an integrated dashboard, a digital platform that integrates data on workforce, investment, MSMEs, job vacancy information, and other data related to employment in Jakarta.
The integrated dashboard can make it easier for public to identify job opportunities, supporting policy makers in monitoring the unemployment reduction strategies policy in Jakarta.
Sri explained that the integrated dashboard has several main features, including employment data and information, a job vacancy information portal, regional job training centers, Jakarta Worker Cards, a web-based Fixed-Term Employment Agreement (PKWT) recording system, including MSME development, ease of licensing, ease of investment and others.
"The dashboard integrates all data of Manpower Agency's units such as Regional Job Training Center, manpower placement, also from the MSME Agency, and other regional apparatuses," she stated.
