Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi, held a meeting with Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Executive Committee Member, Arya Sinulingga at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Friday (12/13).

PSSI wants the Jakarta Provincial Government to jointly develop the progress of football sports

They discussed efforts to systematically promote the progress of football in Jakarta following Presidential Instruction Number 3/2019 on Acceleration of National Football Development.

"PSSI wants the Jakarta Provincial Government to jointly develop the progress of football sports from the bottom, namely schools," said PSSI Executive Committee Member, Arya Sinulingga.

He cited Japan has succeeded in advancing football with the current ranking of number 1st in Asia and 15th in the world.

"They build soccer sports from elementary school to college. Every school has one good soccer team," he explained.

Hence, his party prompted the Jakarta Government to organize systematic football coaching through schools.

"This is very good if they (Jakarta Govt) become the driving force for developing national football," he continued.

Such good step was surely welcomed by the governor.

"I support and will further discuss the systematic football development program in Jakarta with the related regional apparatus," he stressed.

By so, he hoped it could be able to run in the future.

"I will try as fast and as hard as possible to make it happen," he stated.
