Djarot Reviewed MRT Construction Project

By the end of this week, Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat take his time to review directly the progress of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) construction project. The review of the second man in Jakarta was started by listening explanation about the construction progress from the management rank of PT MRT on 21st floor, Wisma Nusantara, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

The review aims to ensure condition in real terms in the field, not only on the paper

After listening the explanation in PT MRT office, the former Mayor of Blitar then went to review MRT depot construction in Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta. Accompanied by City Secretary (Sekda) Saefullah, Head of City Council, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, Djarot had dialogued in the location with Director of PT MRT, DOno Boestami.

In the depo construction location, Djarot was given explanation again and also showed the design of the mega mass transportation project rail based. Shortly after, he then moved forward to MRT project location at Patung Obor, Senayan.

Djarot: MRT Project must Be Worked 24 Hours

"The review aims to ensure condition in real terms in the field, not only on the paper. By doing so, then we will more focus working and finishing some basic problems," said Djarot after reviewing MRT project location at Patung Obor, Senayan, Sunday (5/24).

Djarot also disclosed, the project is still hampered by land acquisition that is the main problem. Therefore, all parties are appealed to understand the problem and could sit together solving the problem.

The Director of PT MRT, Dono Boestami added, although the project is still hampered by land acquisition, his party is optimistic that the mega project could be finished in the upcoming 2018.

"Land acquisition is not hampering too significant, we have explained that the lane is on the middle, there will be no obstacle," he uttered.
