Thousands of Citizens Pray Together for Better 2025

The activity was filled with joint prayer led by Religion Minister and also the Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque, Kyai Haji Nasaruddin Umar, muhasabah was guided by Kyai Haji Ali Sibromalisi, and a sermon from Kyai Haji Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym).

There were also performances from international Qoru and National MTQ Champion Ustad Ilham Mahmudin and religious entertainment from gambus singer Alma ESBEYE.

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi said last night activity was held to greet the new year of 2025.

"Hopefully our prayers will be come true and bring prosperity for all of us ," he said, Monday (12/30) night.

Teguh also thanked the citizens who attended the last night activity.

Religion Minister, Nazaruddin Umar also said the activity can be a moment to correct all mistakes that have been made to get forgiveness from God. All citizen should get new energy that is full of blessings in welcoming the new year 2025.

"It is hoped Jakarta will be more glorious. Then we will commemorate 500 years of Jakarta. Jakarta is famous, but we also want its people to be more pious and devout, and its officials to be trustworty in carrying out their duties. Let's pray that next year will be brighter especially for Jakarta residents," he said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin delivered his appreciation for the muhasabah night held last night.

"Hopefully we can be better day by day," he stated.

Khoirudin also mentioned about the Act No 2/2024 about Special Region of Jakarta. He hopes Jakarta can be more prosperous for its people even it is no longer as capital city.

"Now we are waiting for the Presidential Decree of the Act No 2/2024. Let's pray for more prosperous, easy, and cheaper health service of Jakarta," he stated.
