He explained the attractive events prepared starting from Napak Tilas, Visits to Social Institutions, Muhasabah, MSME Bazaar and Late Night Shopping, Bentang Harapan, and entertainment stages.
Napak Tilas is the first segment that starts in the morning, tracing the footsteps of Jakarta by visiting various sites in the city of Jakarta. Among them are Bahari Museum, Raja Kuring Restaurant, Jembatan Kota Intan, Jakarta Museum of History, Ceramic Museum, and Beos Station or Jakarta Kota.
"Jakarta Tracing segment has six sites where we will do a throwback to how Jakarta got to be like this," he explained.
Then a visit to the Bahari Museum was chosen as there is a zero point for setting the time of the City of Batavia. This museum is also used as a docking place for trading ships.
Meanwhile, at the second point, at Raja Kuring Restaurant, is the west side warehouse. The next location, Jembatan Kota Intan, is a historical point of international trade and Padrao Inscription was found.
At the Jakarta Museum of History, visitors will be invited to see the superior collection and a replica of the Padrao Inscription. They will then also visit the Ceramic Museum which was previously the location of the High Military Court.
"The next route is at Beos Station or Jakarta Kota. Here is also the site from where Jakarta's transportation in the past started operating. There are also archaeological objects found during the construction of the MRT railway," he explained.
In this segment, Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi will wear a pangsi shirt with a nuance of old Jakarta. The next segment is the Bentang Harapan event.
In this segment, a 500-meter white cloth will be stretched. The white cloth is provided for Jakarta residents to write their hopes for the city of Jakarta approaching its 500th anniversary.
"At Jakarta City Hall, the cloth will be 80 meters long and at the district mayoral level, it will be 70 meters long," he explained.
He continued the hopes written by Jakarta residents would later be stored and reopened on June 22, 2027, when Jakarta will be exactly 500 years old.
"That's one thing that makes New Year's Eve celebrations different from what's ever happened," he continued.
Aside that, the Jakarta administration is slated to hold an MSME Bazaar and Late Night Shopping along Jalan MH Thamrin to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. This bazaar will present culinary delights and snacks for the public who enjoy and watch the New Year's celebration entertainment in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, 23 entertainment stages will be set up for entertainment at New Year's Eve celebration. Three of them are held by the private sector at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), while Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, City Vision, and 20 other stages from the Jakarta administration.
"We will present all genres of entertainment at Semarak Jakarta Mendunia," he added.
To avoid the crowd, entertainment stages enlivened by many artists will be held at the city and district levels. In Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and West Jakarta, the entertainment stage will be held at the mayor's office. In South Jakarta, it will be held at the Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village. In East Jakarta, it is also held at Old Shanghai Sedayu City. Lastly, it will be centered on Tidung Island, Seribu Islands.
