S. Jakarta KPKP Distributes 418,000 Fish Seeds

South Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency has distributed 418,000 fish seeds to residents along 2024 up to early 2025.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Fishery Section Head, Andi Dala Jemma said the seeds are distributed to fill nutritional pools, community food security pools, cultivation, and restocking in public waters such as reservoirs, ponds and so on.

"The seeds we shared were the result of seed ponds or cultivation run by South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency and Jakarta Center for Production, Inspection and Certification of Fishery Products," he said, Monday (1/6).

Dala added that those fish seeds were catfish, tilapia, tawes, koi and nilam.

According to him, the sub-agency also has provided cross-sectoral fisheries facilities to 50 people in the form of fiber tub packages, submersible water pumps, fish scoops, and 240 feed types.

"The recipients were fish farmers, RPTRA nutrition pond managers, KPG, and government agencies," he added.

He hopes the sub-agency achievement will increase in 2025 for the sake of residents welfare.

"We want to give positive impact especially for residents' protein fulfillment," he stated.
