569 Physical Aids Distributed to Disabled People in South Jakarta

The South Jakarta Social Sub-agency has distributed 569 physical aids to disabled people throughout 2024.
This is also to improve recipients' and their families' welfare and living standards
South Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Bernard Tambunan said the distribution of physical aids aimed at helping disabled people and the needy to do activities without obstacles.

160 Physical Aids Distributed to People with Disabilities in S. JakartaOf 569 physical aids, 400 were adult wheelchairs, 30 were child wheelchairs, 90 were hearing aids, 30 were walkers, and 19 were foot sticks.
He explained residents can prepare documents to receive them, such as a relief letter (SKTM) or PM1, a photocopy of KTP, or a KIA (for children under 17), a photocopy of family card, and a full-body photo.
"They (documents) can be sent via several channels, such as urban villages with the help of Social Assistance Officers (Pendamsos), Sub-district Social Units, Social Security Protection and Social Rehabilitation Sections, or to Dinsos via Social Rehabilitation Subgroup for Disabled," he explained.
His party would continue to work for its citizens who needed physical aid by assisting, especially targeting disabled people and the elderly.
"This service is free. Hopefully, the recipients can be more independent so they can help in doing daily activities," he hoped.
