Students of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 19 Pagi received disaster response education by South Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD), Thursday (1/9).

South Jakarta BPBD A Group Commander, Risky Dwi Syahputra said the activity aimed to increase the capacity and knowledge related to natural disaster. The activity was also participated by teachers and school comittees.
"The activity was participated by 603 participants namely 552 students, 32 teachers, and 19 members of school committee," he said.
BPBD Warns of Tidal Wave in North Jakarta from January 9 to 17During the activity, his side gave material related to preparedness and earthquake evacuation technique. Disaster equipments and simulation were also introduced.
"We also socialized call center 112 and disaster literacy room at Jakarta BPBD," he added.
Risky hopes that this socialization and training will provide beneficial knowledge for participants, so that when a disaster occurs they will not panic and understand what to do.
SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 19 Pagi Headmaster, Indah Rahmawati assessed that the training is important for student and teacher to increase their preparedness of disaster occurs.
